My little Easter Bunny

Here's a picture of my stylin' little man in his Easter outfit. I can't believe how grown up he looks!!! We had a very nice but busy Easter Sunday. We started off the morning by waking the little man up early to find all his fun easter gifts. I love that kind of stuff. I remember Easter time at our house when I was growing up and we would have oodles and oodles of stuff from the easter bunny so I guess I have to carry on the tradition. :) Caleb enjoyed all of his stuff!!! Then we headed off to the 9:00 church service in Hudson. I was a bit worried how he was going to make it through the entire service but surprisingly he did very good. The service that we go to has a band and they play lots of music and Caleb loves music so he spent most of the time sitting on daddy's lap dancing. Josh only had to take him out of the service one time for just a few minutes as he wanted to run around. Imagine that!! After church we went to Josh's parents for easter dinner at 1:00. There were lots of people there and many that hadn't seen Cale for a while so he was he was so excited that he wouldn't even take hi nap. After we got done eating and hanging out for a while then we got back in the car and drove back to Hudson to my parents for another yummy meal at 5:00. Caleb was exhausted and slept the whole way there. When we arrived his GiGi (Grandma Nelson) had hid a bunch of eggs with money in them so Caleb got to go on his first easter egg hunt. The boys (Miles and Caleb) had so much fun running around finding all of them.

I took Caleb to his 15 month check up a couple weeks ago and the one thing I was hoping for was that he would be 20 pounds so we could turn him around facing forward in his carseat. Well, he just fell shy of 20 pounds. He was just 19.4 but we still got the ok from the doctor to turn him around as he was getting a bit uncomfortable facing backwards with his feet up on the seat. At least he's growing length wise. He was 31 inches. Boy let me tell you, he is much happier now that he can see things when he's in the car. I can only imagine what a whole new world it is facing the right direction. The doctor appointment was a bit frustrating as they did not have records of Caleb getting some of his vaccines (like 3 different ones). According to my records he is caught up and has received all of them that he should have but the doctors records didn't show the same so we spent a long time trying to figure out what happened and what we should do. The doctor suggested we go by their records and give the vaccinations over again just to make sure. I was not ok with this and had them pull the records that the state had which we found out matched what I had. So needless to say, I asked them kindly to figure it all out before we return for his next appointment and we left without getting any shots. They did do some bloodwork though to check titers on a few things to actually prove if he had the vaccines or not. Not fun and I don't understand how a doctors office could make a mistake like that. The bloodwork is still not back. All I can say is they better have it figured out by the next time we go in.

Our big frustration lately is trying to get Caleb to eat. He is sooooooooo incredibly picky and has had very little interest in eating lately. I talked to the doctor about this and he didn't seem too concerned as he said it's common for little ones to have a decrease in appetite at this age but that answer doesn't help our frustration as parents trying to get food into our kid. Every meal is a struggle with him either screaming and not wanting to eat at all or he will take a couple bites and then spit everything else out right back at us. He never hesitates though to go to his cupboard where his crackers and cookies are and pull that stuff out to get into. And it's hard to tell him no when he's not eating much else. Right now I guess I just feel like letting him eat whatever it is he's going to eat. Lord knows the kid is far from being overweight. I really don't know what else to do. Things he use to like he won't touch anymore and new things he won't even try. Any help from other parents would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I believe we've finally got our virus on our computer at home kicked in the butt. What a pain that was. Then, I went to transfer all my pictures from my camera onto the computer the other day and I was having trouble doing that. I kept getting all sorts of error messeges and I ended up having to trasfer them all onto a CD first and then putting them onto the computer and then I reformatted my memory stick for my camera so hopefully that won't keep happening. Technology is so wonderful but man, when something happens..........what a mess!!!!!

I hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for some decent weather to arrive. I can't wait for all the snow to be gone so we can get outside and play. Caleb wants to be outside more than anything right now. It's hard having him cooped up inside. It won't be long now buddy!!!

Gotta Love Em...........

Oh, you gotta love kids. I just got off the phone with my little guy and when he put the phone up to his ear I said "Hi Caleb, it's mama" and his response was "mama". Too adorable!!! Normally he wants to just grab the phone and push the buttons but Josh said he actually sat there and listened to me the whole time I was talking to him. How can something so simple just make your day?

Anyway, sorry about the posting with no pictures. You would think since I only update the blog about once a month now that I could put pictures on everytime but I was honestly trying to last night but our computer was on the fritz and has now got some icky virus. I called Josh into the office to ask him what the heck was going on with the computer as it was making all sorts of weird noises and boxes popping up left and right with creepy messeges on them. I swear the thing was possessed. So he told me to unplug my camera right away and get off it. Needless to say, he's been working on it all day and on the phone with his brother Paul trying to figure it out. Hopefully it will be ok as the computer is only a year old and I really don't want to spend money on another one of them.

We have been keeping ourselves very busy and this weather here is playing tricks on us. I don't understand how one day last week it can be in the 50's and now today there are winter storm advisories out and I've heard we are going to get anywhere from 2-8 inches. I wish it would just come and be done as we are getting very excited for the spring weather so we can get outside. Caleb really enjoys being outdoors and goes to the door often saying "out". And it's so sad when I have to say no and then he gets sad. You just wish they would understand. His vocabulary is growing more and more each day and he just cracks me up. Our neighbors dog had puppies a couple months ago and we've taken Caleb over there a couple times to see them and he just loves it. They are in a huge shed where he can just run around with them and one of them took a liking to Caleb and would follow him around biting and tugging on his sleeve. At first it was pretty funny and he would laugh but it didn't take him long to get annoyed with that and then he started telling the puppy "no no". The other night we were outside walking over to our other neighbors house and he thought we were going to see the puppies as he was saying "woof woof".

Well, I hope everyone is doing well and I promise to post some pictures as soon as it's safe to have my camera plugged into the computer. I've got some new cute ones.
