Terrible Me!!!!!

Ok, so we've been back from our awesome getaway and I haven't even posted about it yet, sorry!!! I surprised Josh and took him to Las Vegas for his 31st birthday which was on 10/13. This is something I had been planning last year for his big 30th birthday but then right when I was going to book the trip I found out I was pregnant and would've been in my 3rd trimester by the time of his b-day so I figured I wouldn't be able to travel. Good thing I made that decision as I was on modified bedrest by that time and my doctor never would've allowed me to go anywhere. Now look.......it's a year later and here we are getting ready to celebrate Caleb's first birthday in less than 2 months. I can't believe it!!! Anway, back to the Vegas excitement....Josh and I arrived early Thursday morning and he didn't find out where he was going until we arrived at the airport. We bummed around beautiful Vegas all day Thursday and then he got a great surprise that evening as his brother and his wife drove from Pheonix to be with us for the weekend and his other brother also flew in that night also. Josh was so surprised, it was great. The first thing he asked after the 3 of them arrived was, "my mom and dad aren't coming too are they?" Little did he know, they were also in on the surprise but got in too late Thursday night so they joined us Friday morning. It all worked out perfect and I was so happy we were all together and had such a wonderful time. Caleb stayed with my parents until Saturday and then my parents dropped him off back at our house and Josh's cousin came to the house and stayed with him the rest of the weekend. It worked out perfect because we didn't get in until really late Sunday night and when we got home Cale was sleeping peacefully and we just got to go to bed. I wanted to wake him so badly because I missed him so much but I knew that would be a big mistake so I waited patiently til morning to see him. He actually seemed surprised to see me when I walked into his room to get him up but it didn't take more than a couple seconds before I got a huge smile full of excitement. Getting him up in the mornings is one of my favorite times of day at our place. He's always so happy, cute, talkative and excited in the mornings when we go into his room.

Other than that, we have just beeb busy doing a few more fall projects around the house before the cold weather comes and we had our nephew Miles overnight this past weekend. That was fun. The boys had so much fun playing together. They both adore one another it's so cute. We took a trip to the apple orchard and went on the hayride and picked out pumpkins. I will update the site soon with some pictures from that as soon as I get them on our computer.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Go Packs Go!!!!

Ok, these pictures were from the weekend that the Packers and Vikings played and the good ol' Packs beat those Vikings. YIPPY!!! Too bad they had to break their winning streak last night.

As you can see, Caleb has already become a Packer fan. He looked so cute in his Packer gear. He's even got a Packer football that plays music and talks when you throw it. He thinks that thing is pretty cool!! Boy this kid amazes me more and more each day. He's just so much fun to be around, I hate to miss any time with him. His newest and greatest is his famous wave along with saying "Hi". He says hi and waves to everybody. He also says dad and mama nonstop. It's like once he figured out that he could say a few words he just repeats them over and over again. It will be so much fun as his vocabulary gets bigger (or maybe not). I suppose once they start talking back at you it's not so cute anymore. For now I will enjoy every minute because it is too cute!!!

This coming weekend is Josh's birthday and I'm going to be taking him on a surprise getaway for a 4 day weekend so Caleb will be with my mom and dad for a couple days and then Josh's cousin is coming to stay with him at our house for the rest of the weekend. She adores him and he has so much fun with her. I will update more after we get back from our getaway.
Til next time, Erin
