No Better Way To Start The Day
I've always said there's no better way to start the day off than going into your little ones room and having them greet you with a huge smile. It's impossible to start the day off on a bad foot with a greeting like that. It's my favorite time of day when I go into Calebs room each morning to get him up. He's always so happy and giddy. He definately didn't get that from his mommy cuz I've never been a morning person, but it's hard not to be now. I just look so forward to seeing that precious smile each morning. The picture above is one of my favorites. Josh stood him up in his crib one morning just to see how he would do and what do ya know.....he actually hung on and just stood there lookin' all cute. He's so strong!!! He is still working on sitting up and is getting much better at it. It won't be long and he will be independent with that. Just a few days ago he started getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth so I don't think it's going to be long before he's crawling either. His little knees are so red and sore looking from rockin' around on them. I guess they've got to get toughened up.
Here's the typical reaction I get every morning when I go in to get the little bean up. How cute is that? Gotta love it!!!
We have our last day of swimming classes tomorrow already and they are going to open the water slides up for us to go down if we would like to. That could be interesting should I choose to take him down. He would probably love it. He has now learned to like being dunked completely under the water and just laughs and shakes his head when he comes up. He's finally getting the idea of kicking his legs when I hold him on his tummy and he is starting to lunge forward at me when I sit him up on the side of the pool and count to 3. It's so amazing how smart these little ones are. It's been a great experience taking lessons with him but I think we are going to take the next session off so we can do some other fun things this summer too and then we will sign back up again in the fall. For now, I think he is use to the water enough that he won't be afraid when he goes in the pool at daycare and that was my main goal for session number one.
Other than keeping busy with him, we've still been busy getting our landscaping done and that's finally getting somewhere and starting to look really nice. The house projects are just never ending. Hope you all had a great memorial weekend and I'll update again soon.
